Bastian Schweinsteiger: Midfielder enjoys romantic stroll with girlfriend, Ivanovic in Madrid

The veteran midfielder was sported wearing a brace on his right knee as him and Ivanovic took a stroll around Madrid.

As he works towards his comeback from injury, Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger took time out in Madrid with his girlfriend and tennis star Ana Ivanovic.

Schweinsteiger is out of action with a partial tear of his knee ligaments while on international duty with Germany in March and is not expected to feature again for the Red Devils this season.

 

His is still hoping to be fit for Euro 2016 and has also been spending time with his girlfriend, Ivanovic.

The veteran midfielder was sported wearing a brace on his right knee as him and Ivanovic took a stroll around Madrid.

 

Ivanovic is competing in the Madrid Open, with the Serbian tennis star beating Katerina Siniakova in the first round 6-3 3-6 6-4 on Sunday.

During the stroll the couple can be seen displaying a public show of affection as they were pictured cuddling up in Spain.

 

After the stroll, he attended Manchester United 1-1 draw with Leicester City and later shared an Instagram photo of him and Old Trafford legend, Eric Cantona who was also at the game.
