India Arie: Singer set to perform at music concert in Nigeria
The singer is to attend the annual 'Sax appeal' concert hosted by Mike Aremu.
Grammy Award winner winner and singer India Arie is set to perform at the fifth edition of 'Sax Appeal' concert in Nigeria, which is hosted and organised by renowned saxophonist Mike Aremu.
The jazz concert will be holding in June 2016 and will see India performing alongside R&B acts like Timi Dakolo and Praiz.
The Sax Appeal concert is an annual concert which started since 2010 was aimed at fostering interaction between businessmen, entrepreneurs and organizations in an entertaining atmosphere.
Sax Appeal has featured artists like Kenny G, Judith Sephuma, Kunle Ayo, Yolanda Brown,Hugh Masakela, Marvin Winans, Mary Mary, Timi Dakolo, Cobhams, Waje, Jessy J, Agboola Shadare, Yinka Davies, Tosin Martins, Bez, Cobhams Asuquo, Waje and others.
This event has also brought together entrepreneurs in Nigeria including Donald Duke, Aliko Dangote and Babatunde Fashola.
Arie has won four awards from twenty-one nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. In 2002, she got the record of "Most Nominations in One Night Without Winning", with seven received nominations.
