Reward Of Crime: Suspected female kidnapper arrested, stripped naked in Lagos

A female suspected to be a member of a kidnap gang in Lagos has been arrested and stripped naked by an angry crowd.

A lady suspected to be one of the kidnappers that have been behind the abduction of five children in the Owode area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, has been arrested and stripped naked as her reward for the crime.

According to someone who witnessed the incident, the lady was caught while trying to escape with two children she had abducted in front of a primary school.

It was gathered that the suspect had almost succeeded in making away with the kids but for the vigilance of a woman who noticed her movements and raised an alarm, attracting people to the scene and the suspect was nabbed.

One of the children's mother was reportedly called to the scene to identify if the woman was related to her and it turned out that she was a stranger in the area.

While being interrogated, the suspect narrated how she and her gang had been abducting some children in the area whom they sold for N50,000 each.

The woman who bled profusely from the beating, allegedly confessed that she sold the last child she stole at Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

On hearing that, the crowd brought out fuel and tyres and was about to set the suspect ablaze, before some policemen came and rescued her.

The police team was reportedly attacked by the crowd while trying to rescue the woman with their patrol van’s windscreen allegedly shattered.
