– Also, the NLC is divided as a faction called off the strike while another decided to go on with the strike
– Anti-riot police officers have arrived Fadeyi bus-stop along Ikorodu road to disperse rioters
The protesters blocked the road with burning tyres
Some protesters took to the street this morning, May 18, blocking the Fadeyi axis of Lagos.
They reportedly blocked the road with burning tyres, stopping vehicles from moving forward.

However, anti-riot police officers arrived the scene to disperse the rioters.

The action of the rioters may be as a result of the planned strike by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).
The Labour union had given the federal government till 12 midnight Tuesday to reverse the pump price of petrol from N145 to N86.50 per litre or they would embark on an indefinite strike.
The rioters action may be as a result of the planned NLC strike
But the federal government got an injunction from the National Industrial Court stopping the NLC from going on with their planned national strike.
