Blog Reader Suspecting Hubby of Cheating Needs Guidance

My marriage is only three years and we are yet to have a child. My husband is a jolly good fellow and I want to believe we are good friends too but recent happenings in our marriage has left me asking where I have gone wrong with this man. I had gone to spend my three weeks leave with my husband-at his base in the South South. Yesterday,I decided to re-arrange the bedroom,only to find a couple of condoms under his big suitcase. I confronted him with my findings when he came back from work. He claimed those must have been left there by his friend that he gives his keys to-whenever he is leaving town. He questioned why he would be careless with such things when he knows that I would be visiting soon. Not long ago,I did some ‘snooping’ around his phone and came across a picture that a lady sent to him on Black Berry…the shocking thing is that the background of that picture looks like the same bedroom here.

Right now,I am wondering if it’s best for me to quit my job in Lagos and join my husband here in order to save my marriage. His salary is enough to give us a comfortable life. I never imagined that my husband would begin to have eyes for other women this early in our marriage. This is a man that I spend a better part of my day praying for,yet he is busy sleeping around. Laila,I am tired. How else does one make a good wife?

The company that my husband works for is based in Lagos but he has been on an official assignment in the South South-to supervise a new contract that his company is handling there. He has been there for about a year now. So basically,he visits (sometimes once in two months ) and when he does-he usually does not spend up to a week with me. He is always in a hurry to go back. My mind has been wondering in several directions-how many women he has had in this room,how many of them he still keeps,or is it because we are yet to have a baby? I am a fashionable lady by all standards,I take good care of myself- nutrition and exercise wise and I don’t joke with his food,what else does he want? Is he really cheating? Am i being to suspicious?
