Rio carnival is one of the most celebrated carnivals in the world, the extremely colourful event features artistic events, wild costumes, dancing and depicts various culture.
The event started on Friday, February 5, 2016 is will end on the Tuesday, February 9, 2016. It has been reported that the carnival attracts over 5 million people to Brazil annually.
Despite the Zika virus scare in Island countries, the fun is ongoing and mosquito net consumes have been spotted on several.
The Rio carnival is famed for lavish and skimpily dressed samba parades and all-night street dancing.
