The US government puts a N1.4 billion bounty on Shekau
by Kolapo Olapoju
This is a free public service announcement on behalf of the government of the United States- for money-loving Nigerians.
The US will be giving out an impressive $7 million (N1.4 billion) in “reward for information that leads to the arrest or conviction” of Abubakar Shekau, the leader Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram.
As you now embark on your march to Sambisa forest and environs, you are advised to keep your eyes open and ears to the ground for any whiff of Shekau.
Even though the Nigerian government hasn’t been able to nab the Boko Haram leader for years, the sum of N1.4 billion, we believe, should be enough motivation for interested persons.
Oh by the way, this bounty offer of the US Department of State has been available since 2013.
Many may have tried, who knows…
