Nigerian Military To Use Robots Against Boko Haram
Recent explosions of Boko Haram bombs in the northeastern Nigeria have driven Nigeria’s military to find ways to counter it. Nigerian troops are going to use robots to dismantle explosive devices of terrorists.
These remote control robots, equipped with manipulators, are capable of demobilizing explosives-laden vehicles or carrying out safe detonation of bombs.

The sappers control the robot from a safe distance but still need to wear protective suits to avoid being wounded by fragments of detonated improvised explosive devices.

Nigerian army has recently stepped up personnel training to be able to resist dirty tactics of Boko Haram militants.
A bomb blast ripped through the popular Maidugiri abattoir market also known as Gamboru Cattle Market in Borno state on June 2, 2015, Tuesday.
The incident which happened around 12.35 pm, may have killed dozens of people as the bomb was reportedly planted in a toilet facility within the abattoir.
Earlier, amidst celebration of a new era, twin explosion has reportedly killed seven people and left dozens injured, at Tashan Alade in Hawul Local Government of Borno State, North-east Nigeria.
