Ambode Has Done Something Special To Attract Indian Investments To Lagos
The governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode has done something special to attract Indian investors to Lagos.
Lagos is waiting for Indian investors, told the governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode, receiving the high commissioner of India, Ajjanpor Ghanashyan this weekend.
The Lagos state governor informed that he has established an office of the overseas affairs and investment. Its mission is to create safer and more friendly working environment for Indian investors.
“We have established office of overseas affairs and investment, so that we can strengthen bi-lateral relationship. We need more investors to come into Lagos so that we can create employment and grow our GDP. Whatever it is you think we can do to increase investors from India, we are ready to talk,” Akinwunmi Ambode told.

He also added that “we are in dire need of a platform that allows for food security since this would further towards making robust achievement at transforming the lives of residents of the state, improve the economy of the State, increase the internally generated revenue, IGR, and translate to further employment opportunities for our unemployed youths.”
In Ambode’s opinion, the most attractive fields of investment are software technology, manufacturing and agricultural sector.
I his turn, Ajjanpor Ghanashyan told the governor, that the delegation of 150 Indian businessmen is about to visit Lagos soon to discuss ways of strengthening commercial relations between India and Lagos state.
Two months ago, in an interactive session with officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) and Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI), Akinwunmi Ambode warned them to desist from forcing themselves into vehicles of suspected traffic offenders on the road.
