Boko Haram: Four New City Gates To Be Installed

The Kano state government has taken another bold step to improve the security of lives and property within the state.

In an effort to partner with the police and other security agencies towards providing security to residents and people coming into the city, the Kano state Ministry of Works and Housing is to commence construction of four city gates at different points leading into the metropolis.

The project is said to gulp about N18 million naira after completion.

Shehu Haruna Lambu who is the commissioner for Works and Housing, stated this at the signing ceremony of the contract.

He revealed that, after the completion, security men will be deployed to man the gates for the enhancement of adequate security of everyone coming-in, especially due to the threat of Boko Haram bedeviling some parts of the country.
