Chelsea Defender Confirms Costa Is A Cheat, Says “We Are Not Surprised” (PHOTO/VIDEO)

Chelsea defender, Kurt Zouma, has labelled his teammate, Diego Costa, a cheat following his part in ensuring that the Arsenal defender, Gabriel got a red card in their Premier League match on Saturday.

The Frenchman, who spoke during an interview after the 2-0 defeat of Arsenal at the Stamford Bridge last week, stated that they are used to the former Athletico Madrid point man’s antics in the club and they are proud to have him in the club.

Zouma, who was given the nod ahead of club captain, John Terry, in the high tempo game, got the first goal via a header while a deflected Eden Hazard shot sealed the win for the Blues.

Asked how he felt about the win and the fact that he was selected to play a pivotal role in the West London derby, the defender said: “it was an amazing feeling for me. When you play in the big derbies, you feel excited and that was what I felt.

“It was amazing because I scored for the team and the team did well today (Saturday) like three days ago (Champions League win over Maccabi Tel Aviv), so we are very happy.”

On Costa’s purported action against Arsenal, Zouma spilled the words, stating that his teammate is well known by the players to be a cheat and that they are glad to have him at the club.

Meanwhile, Zouma has since cleared the air on the remarks credited to him, calling his teammate a cheat.

He took to the social media to explain that he was sorry about any misunderstanding that his words had probably caused within the club and in the media generally.

Both clubs and the players involved in the melee, have since been charged with improper conduct while Costa is likely to be charged in retrospect for his part in the altercation.
