Fani Kayode Attacks President Buhari Over Arrest Of Radio Biafra Director

Femi Fani-Kayode, the former spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to release the Director of pirate radio, Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

The former minister of aviation took to his twitter handle to tell the president to release Nnamdi Kanu.

I call on @MBuhari to release Nnamdi Kanu. It is unlawful to keep anyone in detention for more than 3 days without charging him to court.

Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) as soon as he got to Nigeria from the United Kingdom on Saturday, October 17.

A separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide has written an open letter to world leaders over the plight of its leader.

The group called on world leaders to prevail on President Buhari to with immediate effect release its leader adding that he was not charged with any crime.

Meanwhile, a faction of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has demanded that the federal government immediately release the Radio Biafra director, who was arrested on Saturday, October 17.

MASSOB threatened the federal government that if it failed to ensure the release of Kanu, it would lead to a worldwide demonstration.
