ISIS Jihadists

A group of armed radical Islamists in Yemen have threatened to launch bomb attacks against the University of Aden if it does not enforce strict separation of the sexes, a ban on music and mandatory collective Muslim prayers on the campus.

A group of armed radical Islamists in Yemen have threatened to launch bomb attacks against the University of Aden located in the country's southern port city, Aden.

Reports say the jihadists broke into three departments at the university distributing leaflets allegedly signed by the Islamic State (ISIS).

In the leaflets, which bore the signature of the Aden and Abyan branches of ISIS, the extremists asked the authorities to enforce strict separation of the sexes, a ban on music and mandatory collective Muslim prayers on the campus.

They gave a Thursday deadline after which they would launch car bomb and petrol bomb attacks on the institution.

Just over two weeks ago, Islamic State suicide bombers killed at least 22 people in two attacks on Aden and Sanaa.
