Just In: Another Boko Haram Suspect Nabbed In Kebbi
Another suspected member of the jihadist sect, Boko Haram, has been nabbed by members of a vigilante group in Birnin Kebbi. They say he was clad in female apparels.
Nafi’u Abubakar, a police spokesman, confirmed the arrest. He also said that the suspect had a mental problem and was a staff of the state-owned Jega School of Health Technology, Daily Post reports.

No weapon was found on the suspect.
“After the suspect was handed over to us for further investigation, we found out that the suspect either had a mental disorder or was a mad man.
“He will be examined further by medical doctors to ascertain his health condition,” Abubakar noted.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Abubakar Bello, the general manager of Birnin Kebbi central market, told newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday, October 14, that the unnamed man was caught within Birnin Kebbi central market with the assistance of traders and customers.
He said the suspect was apprehended by the vigilante group after an alarm was raised by the people patronising the market. Bello said that the suspect’s true motive of wearing a women’s dress was unknown.
The market manager said: “People are now more conscious than ever, as they are conscious of any suspicious movement lurking around.”

“We later alerted the security agencies in the state on the development and we handed him over to them for further investigation,” Bello stressed.
Meanwhile, displaced villagers in Maiduguri have apprehended a suspected member of the Boko Haram sect.
The villagers said the suspect, a tea seller, allegedly led Boko Haram fighters to sack their community and made them homeless.
