PHOTOS, VIDEO: What Men Really Say About Safe Sex When Women Aren’t Around

Men and women’s attitudes toward contraception were always considered to be different. But it seems that we are not that different as we used to think.

International condom manufacture Durex has asked separate groups of men and women what they really think about one night stands, sex, and using a condom. Their answers were recorded on camera and shed a light on the circumstances and misconceptions currently stopping many young people from practising safe sex.

“If she brings out the condoms, then she’s into this as much as I am.”

And while the majority of women are convinced that their request to use a condom will make them look like less cool and could be rejected, the men have exactly the opposite points of view. One man said: “If she brings out the condoms, then she’s into this as much as I am.” Another added: “I think it shows confidence, for me it’s attractive.”

And the women’s reactions too the men’s comments are just priceless. Well, you better watch it yourself!

“Being young today is hard – there are so many societal pressures and sex and relationships in particular can be a minefield. This campaign is showing how important and how powerful knowledge and confidence can be in helping you make smart choices,” TV presenter Gemma Cairney, who is supporting the Durex campaign, said.
