Volvo: Swedish automaker set to release electric car in 2019
Volvo is joining the electric car manufacturing industry.
Volvo is the latest automaker to join the electric car manufacturing industry.
This was revealed in a statement by Volvo CEO, HÃ¥kan Samuelsson.
“We believe that the time has come for electrified cars to cease being a niche technology and enter the mainstream. We are confident that in two years’ time 10 percent of Volvo’s global sales will be electrified cars."

Not much is known about Volvo's electric car, other than it's delivery date, 2019.
It is also expected to be a crossover with a range of approximately 325 miles, according to Autocar.
Volvo is not the first to switch to electric cars in an effort to remain relevant.
Yesterday, October 15th, Pulse Nigeria reported that Volkswagen is going electric.

The fact that two car manufacturers are switching over to the electric side prove Elon Musk's predictions to be true.
