#WomanCrushWednesday: Dakore Akande, as classy as they come

Dakore Akande (formerly known as Dakore Egbuson), is #WCW this week.

The 37 year old actress born in Bayelsa State. Her early education consists of Corona Primary School, and Federal Government Girls’ College in Bauchi.

 

Because of the many strikes at the University of Lagos then, she dropped out and focused on acting. Her career seriously started in 1999.

 

Her talent separated her from the pack, in just a few years Dakore became a household name. She now has over fifty movies to her name including ‘Emotional Crack’, ‘Journey to Self’, ‘Ultimate Risk’, ‘Before The Sun Rise’, ‘Unconditional Love,’ ‘Fifty,’ ‘Lunchtime Heroes’ among others.

She is married to Olumide Akande in January 2011, and they have two kids. Dakore acts in Mo' Abudu's latest movie 'Fifty'.

 

Apart from acting, Dakore Akande is a singer. Her first gig was as a backing vocalist at Royal Festival Hall, as a backing vocalist.
