Elections: Government orders closure of schools in Kogi
Kogi State government have ordered that all schools remain closed until the end of the governorship elections.

All private and public schools in the state will be closed from Tuesday, Nov. 17 to Monday, Nov. 23 2015.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education, Alhaji Adamu Sheidu said they had to make this decision because many of the schools will serve as temporary camps for security agents being deployed to the state for the Nov. 21 governorship election.
He advised that parents keep an eye on th whereabouts of their children during this time while disclosing that this order only affects only all primary and secondary schools in the state.
Sheidu also warned proprietors of private secondary and primary schools in the state against violating the order.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Sunday Arase, had on Tuesday in Lokoja announced that 12, 000 policemen will be deployed for the election.
