1. Towel: If you're stuck somewhere, you want to be able to have a bath at least.

2. Underwear: Have enough underwear for at least 2 changes in which time you should have made some headway in tracking your luggage or bought a new set.

3. Flash drive: This would contain copies of your documents which you can easily print out incase they get missing.

4. Tooth brush: After a long flight, our breaths can be less than stellar and if there's an unexpected delay, there's only so much breath mints can do so ensure you pack a tooth brush.

5. Scarf: A scarf can come in very handy when the cold in an airplane cabin sets in.
