Ex-acting Gov Discloses Why Dickson Allegedly Plot To Kill Him
Chief Nestor Binabo, an erstwhile acting governor of Bayelsa state, has alleged that Governor Seriake Dickson of the state was planning to kill him owing to the reason that he moved from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.
The APC stalwart said that it was not a surprise to him at all simply on the basis that as a former deputy speaker, a speaker, and an acting governor of this state who is from the same local government and Sagbama zone with the governor, Dickson already was envisaging his own failure, Daily Post reports.
The former acting governor who spoke in Yenagoa on Monday, November 23, noted that that was the primary reason Governor Dickson has continuously declared me him as his arch enemy.

Speaking further, Binabo stated that Dickson, while addressing groups at an earlier event held at the Banquet Hall, had declared him as his greatest enemy in the Sagbama local government area.
Binabo who handed over the governorship seat after 18 days to Dickson in 2012 said he resolved to raise the alarm owing to the incessant attacks on APC leaders in the state by suspected thugs of the PDP, which he said had already claimed the life of an APC chieftain and left many others injured.
The former speaker of the Bayelsa state House of Assembly said: “Dickson said that an Okunbiri man who has joined the APC is his greatest enemy in Sagbama. Everybody knows that I am from Okunbiri, close to Dickson’s community in Sagbama. I am an APC stalwart and since l joined APC, Dickson has been after me.
“This is the second time he is declaring me his arch enemy. I don’t know what he meant by declaring me his arch enemy. First of all, I handed power over to him. I conducted a peaceful election and spent the resources to make him a governor. So, I don’t see why Governor Seriake Dickson sees me as his arch enemy.
“It is not a surprise to me at all, as a former deputy speaker, a speaker, and an acting governor of this state, having moved to APC and more so from his own local government, he knows he has failed. And I think that is the primary reason he has continuously declared me his arch enemy.”
Contrary to his assertion however, the PDP through its director of publicity, Restoration Campaign Organisation, Jonathan Obuebite, came up to describe Binabo’s allegation as ‘callous’, noting that there was no time Governor Dickson addressed any gathering where he threatened that “Nestor Binabo was his greatest enemy as alleged.”
Condemning Binabo’s statement, Obuebite suggested that such allegation was not only callous but a wicked political ploy against the governor.
Apart from this however, the power tussles being experienced in the build-up to the December 5 governorship election in the state has generated more heated confrontations between the candidates of the two leading parties, Governor Dickson of the PDP and Chief Timipre Sylva of the APC.
