Again, Fulani Herdsmen Strike
Three building contractors have been kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Amorji in Onicha-Ukwani community, Ndokwa West local government area in Delta state.
Vanguard reports that the three contractors were working at a fenced site in the community when they were abducted by the herdsmen on Sunday, November 6.
Joe Ossai, an indigene of the community claimed an eyewitness saw the kidnap.

He said: “According to an eye witness, it was these Fulani herdsmen that kidnapped these persons who were doing their job and took them hostage,”
“For some time now, these herdsmen have occupied almost all the communities in Onicha-Ukwani, particularly Amorji and driven the people out of the village.
“My people are seriously hungry because there is no food for them to eat, the easy access road to Kwale had been taken over by Fulani herdsmen. The worst part of it all is that they went ahead and brought their families to be feeding from the communities’ crops they invaded.”
Mr. Austin Emu, the president of Anti-Cult, Ndokwa nation said the abductors have communicated and are asking for ransom.
“They have been communicating for ransom, but we do not know if they are purely Fulani herdsmen or if our people are also so involved.”

Celestina Kalu who is the public relations officer of the state police command confirmed the incident and added that the police was still on the matter.
