Chelsea To Dump Their Home Ground?

Reports have it that Chelsea have submitted plans to construct an ultra-modern 60,000-seater stadium at Stamford Bridge.

The new facility is expected to provide spectators from every angle an outstanding view of the stadium and would see the capacity expand from 41,000.

According to goal.com, Chelsea wants to improve the standard of facilities and allow spectators enjoy better comfort as the club are also aiming to improve access to Fulham Broadway station.

Details of the plan reads: “The new stadium involves both excavation works and the construction of new external concourse areas.”

“This includes the formation of decking platforms over part of the District Line and part of the Southern mainline railway. 

“New pedestrian access arrangements on match days would be provided from Fulham Broadway Station and Fulham Road. New vehicular access would be provided via Wansdown Place.”
