Lagos Helicopter Crash: Accident Report Not Yet Out, As Bristow Denies Pilots
The Bristow helicopter crash that occurred in Lagos, Nigeria, on Wednesday, August 12, killed 10 passengers and while the two crew members who survived seem to have been clouded in mystery.
According to preliminary reports from Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), ‘’the preliminary flight recorder data indicated that at 1000ft and 120Kts, the helicopter experienced sudden pitch up, and left roll with varying attitude of yaw, roll and pitch for 12 seconds until it impacted water at about 1531hrs.’’

The report however made it clear that the cause of the accident has not been fully determined, as the investigation is still ongoing.
Meanwhile, the sister of one of the pilots, Captain Joseph “Jay” Wyatt of Oklahoma, has lamented on social micro-blogging site, Twitter about the whole scenario.
Samantha Wyatt, tweeting with the handle, @kimchisaywhat, posted series of tweets, accusing the management of Bristow Helicopters (owners of the crashed helicopter), of denying her brother as an their employee.

Captain Wyatt started his aviation career in 2005 and had been flying in Nigeria since 2009.
The bureau said that it will not hire foreign experts to extract information from the black box because its accident investigators had been well skilled by a Canadian firm supplier of the laboratory equipment on how to download content from any crashed aircraft black boxes.
