Last-Minute Checklist: 6 important travel tips that will save you this Christmas holiday
The following tips will not only make your travel stress-free but also help you enjoy your holiday even more.
The Christmas holiday is arguable one of the happiest periods of the year, but it's not without it's fair share of stress.
This particularly the case with travel as everyone is on the move to be reunited with friends and family.
The following tips will not only make your travel stress-free but also help you enjoy your holiday even more.
-
Have a list: Lists can literarily be life-saving. Have a travel list to help with your packing and also make a list of all the things you plan to do on your trip, that way nothing gets left out or forgotten.
-
Hope for the best but prepare for the worst: Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. So, while we hope for the best it's important to have back-up plans. Back up all your documents on cloud, spread your money across different accounts/ATM cards plus have some cash on you and ensure your travel dates leave an extra day or 2 ahead of your intended arrival at your destination incase of cancellations.
-
Have back-up power: Nothing is worse than sitting in an airport terminal with a dead phone. So do yourself a favour and pack a power bank plus a travel charger.
-
Pack snacks: Plane food isn't the best in the world, so it would help to bring along a few snacks. They could also come in handy for long lay-overs.
-
Think ahead: Leave for the airport way ahead of time to save you long check-in queues. Also remove the necessary items ahead at airport security checks.
-
Don't sweat the small stuff: There will be frustrations along the way but don't let it get to you. Smile through it all and remember to keep up the holiday cheer.
