Maradona Dons Arsenal Training Kit, Could He Be The Biggest Gunners Fan?

Imagine Diego Maradona donning an Arsenal jersey instead of a Napoli, Sevilla or Barcelona jersey. 

 One of the best (if not the best) footballersever, Maradona courted controversy for much of his career but he was undoubtedly one of the best and consistently a top performer during his heydays.

The World Cup winner was recently captured by his daughter Giannina wearing an Arsenal training kit.

Back in 2008 Maradona said of love for the London club: “I am a fan of Arsenal when I am in England. 

“When I was 19 they tried to buy me and another player from Argentinos Juniors – around the time Ricky Villa and Ossie Ardiles signed for Tottenham.

“But it didn’t happen. I sometimes wonder what might have happened.

Arsenal fans can only add Maradona to a long list of footballers the club has missed out on including Yaya Toure, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Raheem Sterling, Didier Drogba, Ronaldo De Lima.
