Former Minister Reacts To Report On Owning House In Dubai
Idris Umar, a former minister of transport during the administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan has denied owning a house in Dubai.
It was earlier reported that the former minister was among a number of Nigerians who owned properties in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Umar also denied that he was also in the Arab country and claimed he was in Abuja.

During his recent visit to the UAE, President Muhammadu Buhari had signed bilateral agreement with the UAE government one of which will see Nigeria take over loots from Nigeria stashed in her UAE.
The agreement would also facilitate easier and quicker repatriation of Nigerians hiding in the rich country as well as as providing access to the Nigerian government to recover the loot.
Premium Times reports that in a statement issued by the former senator’s aide, Innocent Ebirim, he said the former minister “does not own any property in Dubai and he is in Abuja at his usual place of abode and has no reason whatsoever to hide in faraway Dubai”.
Meanwhile, Femi Fani-kayode, a former aviation minster and spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party’s campaign organization denied reports that he owns properties in Dubai.
