In New York: Man plunged to his death taking pictures on top of 52-storey hotel

The horrible disaster happened after Cummings slipped as he tried to climb through a hatch and fell nine storeys, landing on a 43rd-floor walkway and died immediately

It was a sad ending for 24-years-old Connor Cummings, a fearless photographer after he tried taking pictures on top of the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City.

Cummings and his friend Dimitri Olivares for some reasons managed to gain access to the rooftop and climbed over scaffolding on top of the 52-storey Manhattan hotel.

It was a perfect moment of excitement for the two friends who were attempting to photograph the New York skyline around 11.15pm on Wednesday night.

According to Mirror, the horrible disaster happened after Cummings slipped as he tried to climb through a hatch and fell nine storeys, landing on a 43rd-floor walkway and died immediately.

It was also gathered that the diseased friend panicked and fled the scene but later turned back to report the incident to his mother and security in the hotel.

Dimitri Olivares was arrested but later released without charge

"They say that he went up the elevator, and then went up a stairway and then went out on a balcony.

"He’s a young kid... A good kid. They weren’t drinking or anything. They were taking a picture." says his aunty Kate Gentile.
