We Will Always Obey Court Orders, EFCC Promises Nigerians
Ibrahim Magu, the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, January 19, has given the assurance that the commission will adhere to court orders.
He added that war against graft was not about him or the EFCC but that of all Nigerians would want to see Nigeria move forward.
Magu made this assertion at a media briefing in Abuja saying that anti-graft body has no reason to disobey court, Leadership reports.
The EFCC boss stressed that the need to make this clarification became necessary following consistent criticism from prominent members of the society who accused the commission of disobeying court orders.

Magu said: “We have never had any course to disobey any court order and we will not disobey any. It is not about me, it is about the desire to move this country forward.”
A particular case that irked some lawyers was the re-arresting of former national security adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd) the director general of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Patrick Akpobolokemi and Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra immediately after the trio were granted bail.
The youths stormed the Lagos state House of Assembly to register their displeasure thus demanding that the president should be impeached by the National Assembly if he refused to change.
