– Top Nollywood actor Arakangudu will be buried today Wednesday, February 10
– The late actor had some movies he planned releasing in 2016
– He was also working on another movie when he died
Naij.com spoke with a close relation of the deceased who was busy putting finishing touches to the burial arrangement but was courteous enough to find time to talk about Arakangudu.
He said Arakangudu was working on a movie before his untimely death. The just concluded writing the script of the movie titled Wura Ninu Abata. He had planned shooting the movie this year.
On the rumour that he left the industry for some years before staging a comeback, Olaolu said Arakangudu never left the industry but suffered huge losses over the sale of some of his movies which he had invested hugely on. It is piracy that made him lay low but he was still featuring in other people’s movies. His last movie was sold by Gemini Pictures at a loss.
He also disclosed that because of the loss he suffered Arakangudu refused to release three movies he had shot. Among his yet-to-be-released movies is one he was said to have invested over N10 million on titled Alaafin Akoko. He was said to have ran at a loss and planned to launch the movie this year so as so make some money before releasing it on DVD. Arakangudu shot Alaafin Akoko in 2008.

Another movie he is yet to release is Eyin Oju Mi which was shot in 2009 and a third he shot in 2010 but held on to because of piracy.
The late actor has one wife and children while some other women were alleged to have children for him. He already lost his parents years aback. Arakangudu clocked 49 in October 2015. He will be buried today, Wednesday, February 10 at his father’s compound in Oshogbo by 12 noon.
