Famous beauty queen Miss Heritage Africa 2015, Benedicta Akpana who was robbed in South Africa bags political appointment in Cross Rivers state.

Benedicta Akpana was recently appointed as the Executive Protocol officer to the Governor of Cross Rivers state Governor Benedict Ayade. Speaking with Naij.com, on how she felt about her new appointment, Benedicta disclosed that she feels very happy and blessed.

She said: “words are not enough to describe how happy I am and I thank God for being blessed.” The 24 year old Benedicta Akpana emerged Miss Heritage Nigeria 2014/2015 on December 1, 2014, in Abuja.

Benedicta, who is represented Nigeria at the just concluded Miss Heritage World contest scheduled to hold 15th of November in Johannesburg, where she emerged winner. However, on arriving Johannesburg, South Africa she headed straight to her camp in Sandton but unfortunately, she was robbed.

Expressing their delight, founders of Miss Heritage Nigeria, Chinor and Valerie Emeka, disclosed that Akpana’s emergence as Miss Heritage Africa spoke volume not just of the home pageantry, but also for the country.

He said: “I feel happy, I am proud, she has done excellently well, she has made Nigeria proud, she has made the whole of Africa proud and made us the founders proud as well. It wasn’t an easy task but we thank God and I am happy we didn’t make a mistake in the first place picking her as Miss Heritage Nigeria.”
