Despite being its maiden edition, the success of Funnbone’s show cannot be quantified. On Sunday, February 21, fast rising comedian Funnybone staged his first ever comedy show held at the Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos and was not only attended by top Nigerian entertainers but was able to thrill his guests to an amazing performance by famous Nigerian music artists.

Speaking at his show, Funnybone decided to give his fans a brief of his past by disclosing some of his bad habits and revealing how his journey into comedy began. Funnybone who had his mother present at his show spoke on how he stole his mother’s money when he was a teenager.

He said: “Back in the days after his mother has finished counting N100 notes till it gets to N1000 and he would go to where she had kept her money from the day’s trade and remove N100 notes from all the N1000 she counted. They following morning while I am happy and flexing with my money, my mother would be confused because she counted the money by herself but never believed anyone could have taken out of the money. I am sorry mummy.”

Being a Christian mother Funnybone revealed how he had always obeyed his mother on sexual related issues until his final year in University.

He said: “Every time I am going to school my mother will always tell me having sexual intercourse when you are not married is a sin and I have managed to keep myself from my 100level but when I got to my final year it was a different story. Mummy I am sorry about your perspective of sex but it is very sweet.”

Addressing the issue of the greatest pain in life, Funnybone regrets not being able to take care of his father before he died. He revealed that despite the fact his father was very strict and they were all scared of him, he still misses the morals and discipline of his father.

Funnybone disclosed he regrets that he was unable to take care of his father at least by giving him money from his earnings till he passed away.
