ISIS: Student arrested for recruiting members
He was in preparation to embark on a journey to join an ISIS terrorist training camp in Libya, with other Nigerians whom he recruited for the group.
A student of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Abdussalam Yunusa was reportedly arrested by the Department of State Services in Abuja for recruiting for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
Yunusa was reportedly arrested in Kano. He was in preparation to embark on a journey to join an ISIS terrorist training camp in Libya, with other Nigerians whom he recruited for the group.
According to a statement by Tony Opuiyo of the DSS, other ISIS loyalists in the country, including 17-year-old Mohammed Aliyu Ndako, an undergraduate student of a tertiary institution in Kwara State; and a lady, Zainab Mohammed, were arrested by the Service in January.

It is quite concerning that the educational environment could be a possible breeding ground for terrorist organisation. Filled with youths who and in the process of self discovery, it makes sense that these groups could take advantage of their young, curious mind and sway their belief.
