– Ooni visits Tinubu in Lagos
– The monarch’s visit was meant to foster the unity and development of the Yoruba people
Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the ooni of Ife visited Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in a bid to foster the unity of the Yoruba people.
The monarch has been at the forefront of uniting the Yoruba people as he said a week ago that God had instructed him to do so.
Leadership reports that the ooni made the visit to the All Progressives Congress chieftain’s house in the Ikoyi area of the state on Monday, February 1.
It was reported that the ooni’s visit which was made in company of some chiefs was meant to fulfill an agenda of the monarch which was uniting the Yoruba race.

An aide to Tinubu said: ‘‘The Ooni visited him on Monday. It is not meant to be a media thing but we do not know who released the pictures to social media.”
The monarch reportedly pleaded with the APC leader to use his influence to bring unity and regional integration in the south west.
Tinubu on his part applauded the monarch for his visit and pledged to do everything possible to bring development and unity to the Yoruba race.
It would be recalled that the Ooni rewrote history on Sunday, January 17, when he became the first Ooni to visit Oyo town since 1937, a move that was applauded by most Nigerians.
