'Ashewo No Be Work': Prostitute found dead in brothel in Abuja

A prostitutes dead body was found after she brought in a client to sleep with her in the night.

A 35-year-old commercial sex worker identified Ome Enyi, was found dead in her room in a brothel in the Kubwa area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, in the early hours of Tuesday, March 1, 2016, Daily Trust reports.

It was gathered that the Cross River State born Enyi had operated in the brothel for more than one year since she moved in there from another location.

It was learnt that the night before, Enyi had taken in an unidentified man for an all night sex but in the morning when her colleagues did not see her, they went to knock on her door only to be met with silence.

Suspecting foul play, they called in some of the staff of the hotel who forced the door open only to find the lifeless body of Enyi on the floor with no trace of the man who had gone in with her the previous night.

A source said that the corpse of the prostitute was later moved from the brothel to the Kubwa General Hospital by the police, following a report to them by the brothel manager and deposited at the hospital morgue after being certified dead by a doctor.
