Boko Haram terrorists invaded the village of Bori in Damboa local government area of Borno state on Friday, March 18, killing at least five cuvilians.
Speaking with Sahara Reporters, Civilian Joint Task Force sources revealed that four Boko Haram suspects were arrested.
According to the source, the insurgents trekked to the village at about 8:30am and threw improvised explosive devices (IED) at the local people.
The terrorists looted the village of foodstuffs before burning it down completely.

However, the source noted that Boko Haram has been weakened significantly and lacked the necessary weaponry to engage the military in direct confrontation.
“Five people were killed on Friday, including a young girl, when Boko Haram invaded our village near Damboa town. Some women were injured. We went after them in a gun battle, some were killed but four were arrested. We brought them to Damboa,” he said.
The source added Boko Haram’s access to supply routes has been blocked by the Nigerian army.
Earlier this week, troops of 81 Battalion and 251 Task Force Battalion of 25 Task Force Brigade engaged in hot pursuit the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in Kumala.
During the operation, terrorists’ vehicle mounted with an anti-aircraft gun was shredded into pieces by the IED, while 2 members of the sect died in the process.
