Boko Haram: Madagali youths explain how they killed 100 insurgents

The Youths of Madagali LGA in Adamawa State, North Eastern Nigeria said the unity among them helped them to repel and killed 100 Boko Haram insurgents along Nigeria- Cameroun mountainous borders.

Ayuba Wankari told Pulse that when there was a mass exodus of people out of Madagali after Boko Haram launched an onslaught on the Local government, they unite and move into the mountainous areas and killed over 100 Boko Haram members.

“I am among those confronting the militants,” Wankari said. “The encounter with Boko Haram is what endears us to resettle in our community. We have vowed that there is no going back or running away from the attacks of Boko Haram,” he said.

According to him, the sect members disgraced them by taken away their wives, children and anything valuable they have ever worked for which prompted them to react.

According to him the total pride of Marghi Man has been rumble away and the only option is a fight back to recapture their lost glory.

Wankari attributed their confidence to face the Boko Haram to the support of the member representing Madagali in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon Emmanuel Tsamdu.

He said Tsamdu took care of their needs and encourages their families while they were at the battle adding that if the attackers will fight for nothing sake or their nefarious believe, himself  and many Madagali Youths will fight to die for the sake of their communities and families.

The Minority Whip of the Adamawa State House of Assembly and member representing Madagali constituency Hon. Emmanuel Tsamdu told our correspondent that a second round of war against insurgents will soon be launched by the help of all the Local hunters and vigilantes groups from Gombi, Hong, Michika and Madagali.

He said a bill would soon be passed into law that will carter for the needs of people fighting the insurgents and supports any victim of Boko Haram attacks in the state.
