Chibok girls secondary school to be rebuilt?
– The Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF) has continued its campaign for the safe return of the abducted Chibok girls
– Islamist group, Boko Haram abducted over 200 girls in the community almost two years ago
– The MMF has been heavily involved in the campaign to bring back the girls since the sad incident took place
The Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF) yesterday, April 11, paid a visit to Chibok community in Borno state.
The foundation chaired by Mrs Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode, has been at the forefront of the campaign to rescue the over 200 girls abducted by Boko Haram in the community’s girls secondary school almost two years ago.

The terrorist group destroyed the school building after forcefully leading the girls to a waiting truck in the middle of the night.
“Rebuilding this school will be a symbol that your community remains resilient in the face of this adversity,” Muhammed-Oyebode told the parents.
Meanwhile, the MMF will hold a roll call and interfaith vigil tomorrow, April 13, at the popular Falomo round about, Ikoyi, Lagos in commemoration of the Chibok girls abduction.
Similarly, the foundation will embark on a peaceful awareness march on Thursday, April 14, to the Lagos state government house, Alausa, Ikeja where they will received by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

In a related development, Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state recently announced that the state is now free of terror.
The governor noted that the Boko Haram sect had not been totally annihilated, but he added that despite occasional hiccups “Borno is now free”.
