It is lamentation galore in the FCT as residents complain about the high cost of living in Nigeria’s capital occasioned by the recent increase in the pump price of petrol.
The federal government of Nigeria, Wednesday, May 11, announced the removal of subsidies on petroleum products which triggered the increase of a litre of fuel from N87 to N145.
Many are angry with the Muhammadu Buhari administration over the decision, with some going as far as comparing the previous administration of Goodluck Jonathan and the present one.

The minister of state for petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, however says the recently passed 2016 budget will serve as a short term palliative measure to cushion the effects of the policy on Nigerians.
But many will have none of that. Some are however of the opinion that we should have faith and patience in the government.
