37-year-old mother of six Carla Whitlock, was left fighting for her life after she was attacked with sulfuric acid, that left her with horrific burns on her face.

Whitlock had lost the use of one eye and had her eyelids burnt. She was taking a walk with her boyfriend, when she was attacked by two brothers Billy and Geofferey Midmore at the Southampton city center.

According to the prosecutor Kerry Maylin, Whitlock (a known drug user) had been attack as a form of revenge, because she had reportedly introduced a man identified as Levi, to the Midmore brothers (who deal in drugs) who was owing them £2,000 in a deal-gone-wrong.

Prior to the attack, 23-year-old Billy Midmore, had sent Whitlock a threatening text message saying “B**** you dead over chump change”

He had ended up throwing a product known as One Shot drain cleaner, made of 89 to 93 percent sulphuric acid and said to be recommended by plumbers, in Whitlock’s face.

She was spared from severe burns because a doctor had been passing by and stopped to throw water on her face after noticing her in so much pain.

A photo of Midmore smiling and showing a picture of his victim to the camera, was posted on Facebook, despite him being in custody.

Midmore faces extra time in prison as offenders are not allowed access to social media while in prison. It has been determined yet, who has been running the Facebook account.
