NFF Postpone Federation Cup Matches For Sallah Holidays
The Nigeria Football Federation have rescheduled the Federation Cup Round of 16 fixtures due to the Muslim Sallah holidays.
The Eid-el-fitri celebrations, which mark the end of the month-long Ramadan fasting, are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
The matches earlier scheduled to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday next seek will now be played on July 12th and July 13th respectively.
Holders Akwa United will tackle Sunshine Stars at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi, on Tuesday, July 12, while Enugu Rangers and Crown FC also do battle on the same day at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
The ABS Kaduna will also host the game between Rivers United and Shooting Stars on Wednesday, June 13.
Nigeria Professional Football League leaders, Wikki Tourists, and Plateau United will clash also on Wednesday, June 13 at the Akure Township Stadium.
Other games billed for Wednesday, July 13 are FC IfeanyiUbah Versus Katsina United at the Kwara Sports Complex, Ilorin; Nasarawa United versus Dynamite FC billed for Confluence Stadium, Lokoja and the encounter between Warri Wolves and Prime FC slated for the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
The postponed Round of 32 clash between Enyimba and El-Kanemi Warriors will come up in Abuja on Wednesday, July 13.
The winners will take on J. Atete in the next round.
