Interpol re-arrests son of Adamawa Chief of Staff, Suleiman Abba Jimeta
Operatives of the International Police, INTER-POL, have reportedly re-arrested the first son of the Chief of Staff to Adamawa State Governor, Abdurrahman Abba Jimeta.
Suleiman Abba Jimeta, Alias Babajo, was earlier arraigned alongside four others for burglary and car theft and then released on bail.
The five suspects believed to be involved in cross border crimes, have been accused of stealing $10,000 and a Toyota Avalon car from the residence of one Umaru Fali, a hotelier in Yola and then sold the stolen car to their accomplice in Niger Republic.
Although four of the suspects have confessed to the crime, Jimeta insist he is innocent. Jimeta was arrested following a petition from his victim, Umaru. Spokesperson of the Adamawa Police Command, Othman Abubakar, confirmed the arrest and said Interpol had taken over the case.
