PMB, APC Will Do All It Can To Achieve Greatness – Onu

A national chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling party are determined to bring the nation back to the path of glory, saying that no sacrifice is too much to make for this to be realized.

Onu was speaking as the guest of honour at a book presentation and the 65^th birthday anniversary of Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa in Abuja, on Tuesday, August 18. He said it is necessary for Nigerians to remember that the generations before them broke the barrier of foreign rule to make the country free, adding that they also worked hard to set free many others in different countries of the African continent.

According to Onu, President Buhari’s administration is like a child of will of the Nigerian people, adding that it will not rest on its oars until subsequently votes and voters count in the electoral process of the country.

“Some work has been done, but a lot more needs to be done. I am confident that, day in, day out, the APC-led federal government will work in pursuit of electoral reforms in order to ensure our soil to enable democracy blossom and flourish.

“It is the duty, the task for our generation, this generation, to build on the achievements of those before us to unite our country, secure our nation, work for peace and prosperity so as to guarantee the happiness of Nigerians, ” he said.

The anti-corruption war of the APC-led government has started in earnest with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission swinging into action. The EFCC and other agencies with the mandate to stop corruption have started inviting prominent officials present and past government to answer allegations of corruption levelled against them.

The Independent Corrupt Practices And Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has commenced investigations of very wealthy civil servants whose salaries do not explain their apparent wealth.
