Meet ‘The Worst Actor On Nigerian TV’

Known for criticising his colleagues in Nollywood, movie director Charles Novia is in the news again for another of his infamous diatribes; this time, on reality star and new actor Tayo Faniran.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Charles blasted Tayo’s acting skills on soap opera Tinsel.

The reality star, known for representing Nigeria at the last Big Brother Africa, had been recruited on the show to stand in for regular Gbenro Ajibade, who is currently on his honeymoon.

Charles, on Twitter, gave a 10-point analysis of Tayo’s performance, starting by branding the reality star ‘the worst actor on Nigerian TV.’

He also criticised the producers of the TV show for engaging Tayo in the first place.

Charles had once before branded superstars Omotola Jolade and Genevieve Nnaji bad actresses, saying they weren’t really at the top of their game as fans would think.
