Fast rising Mavin Records star, Di’Ja who recently took up a teaching job at a local primary school in Kaduna, recounts her success story.

The Sierra Leonean-Nigerian singer, during an interview on her Coke Studio Africa session opened up on the kinds of menial jobs including being a waitress and a mascot at children’s parties, in order to fund her music.

However, Di’Ja encouraged youths looking up to her not to give up on their dreams.

She said “I’ve tried and failed a lot of things in the past, same with music, I don’t even think am good at it as much yet, I’m still getting there but I’ve failed many times. Find what you are good at, practice every day, fail at it many times until you are good at it”.

It can be recalled that, on February 14, 2015, Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy, announced the addition of Di’Ja into the group and she is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

Di’Ja is also a GLO ambassador.
