Bomb Blast: 86 Killed, Scores Injured In Ankara (PHOTOS, VIDEO)
Two suspected suicide bombers have killed 86 people and left scores injured at a rally of pro-Kurdish and leftist activists outside Ankara’s main train station in Turkey, on Saturday, October 10.
The killings come weeks ahead of an election, in what has been termed the deadliest attack of its kind on the Turkish soil.
Mehmet Muezzinoglu, the Turkish health minister, told at a press conference that 86 people had been killed and 186 wounded, 28 of whom were in intensive care.

Mehmet said he fears that the death toll could rise further. There were no claims of responsibility for the attack.
Some graphic videos and photos showed bodies scattered on the road among bloodstains, the bodies were covered by flags and banners, including those of the pro-Kurdish opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP).
Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish president, called for solidarity and determination.
In a statement on the suicide bomb attack, Erdogan said: “Like other terror attacks, the one at the Ankara train station targets our unity, togetherness, brotherhood and future.”
Sources say the two explosions happened seconds apart shortly after 10am, as hundreds gathered for a planned march to protest over a conflict between Turkish security forces and Kurdish militants in the southeast.
Meanwhile, protesters have clashed with police in Ankara after officers reportedly blocked a road being used by ambulances transporting victims of this morning’s blasts.
Independent UK reports that police used tear gas shortly after the explosions at 10am, then went on to barricade the path where the ambulances were to pass through.
The crowds in response to the gesture started shouting angrily at officers, throwing missiles and beating them with flag poles and sticks.
