Premier League Players To Receive N2M Each, Landed Properties
Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state has declared a cash prize of N2million to each member of the 2015 Federation Cup champions Akwa United.
The governor made this declaration yesterday, November 30, at a special reception held in honour of the players at the Banquet Hall of the state government house in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital.

In his remarks, Governor Emmanuel said all four coaches and 35 players of the team will get N2million each and will get a residential apartment in Uyo.
The governor praised the team’s dedication and determination to have won the first national title for state under his administration, adding that his government would sustain its support in terms of funding and motivation to the team, especially ahead of its first ever continental engagement.

Akwa United defeated Lobi Stars to win the 2015 Federation Cup title – their first ever major domestic trophy and also qualify for next year’s Caf Confederation Cup.
Both Governor Emmanuel Udom and his predecessor Senator Goodwill Akpabio were at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos to witness their team defeat Lobi stars to win the 2015 Federation Cup final.
