Why NFF not Oliseh will select Super Eagles squad for clash with Egypt
– Sunday Oliseh will have minimal say in the squad he will pick for the clash with Egypt
– The AFCON 2017 double header qualifier against Egypt will be played in March
– The NFF is unhappy Oliseh is blaming it for the CHAN 2016 failure
Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh is under pressure from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to deliver ahead of the AFCON 2017 double header qualifier against Egypt.
The NFF is set to tighten its grip on the handling of the national team due to the uninspiring reign Oliseh has had so far.
According to a source who spoke to the Sun Sports, the NFF would have a huge say over the players he will select ahead of the clash with the Pharaohs.

The source said: “The era when Oliseh was given the latitude to do whatever he likes is gone. We are going to monitor whatever he is doing ahead of the match against Egypt.
“We can’t afford to toy with that game. He (Oliseh) has been told to forward his list to the NFF technical committee for vetting and approval. We are going to supervise him closely to ensure we get the result we need.”
The source said the football governing body is not happy with the criticism the coach aimed at the NFF following Nigeria’s exit from the CHAN 2016 tournament.

“Oliseh rather than take responsibility for the Eagles CHAN flop is blaming government and the NFF for the team’s failure.
“This was a coach that got all the needed support ahead of the championship including going to camp for two weeks at the Pretoria High Performance centre and playing quality friendlies.
“It is sad that the same coach is blaming the NFF over the failure of the team,” the source told Sun Sport.
