Blame corruption, oil price collapse for APC’s broken promises – Oyegun
– APC is slow in fulfilling electoral promises because of corruption and the near collapse of the oil price
– The party still plans to invest in energy, rail and roads to drive Nigeria’s development
John Odigie-Oyegun, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman, has explained why the party stalled to translate electoral promises into concrete actions.
Speaking at the summit of the British APC chapter in London last Thursday, Mr Odigie-Oyegun said that widespread corruption as well as the near collapse of the oil price are the reasons the APC is still struggling to deliver electoral promises.

Nevertheless, the party Mr Odigie-Oyegun reaffirmed the party’s commitment to develop sustainable infrastructure from the party’s manifesto perspective by investing in energy, railway and roads infrastructure.
He also said that the party is steadfast in its intentions to tackle multiple economic problems, eradicate corruption and urged the British government to keep supportint Buhari-led administration in its fight against the main cause of infrastructural deficit in the country.

The summit dedicated to the “Sustainable Development in Nigeria,” was chaired by Richard Fuller, member of the British Parliament for Bedford constituency. The event was attended by APC members across the Great Briaton, the party’s representatives from the Scandinavia and the invited British guests.
