The lawmaker said the gesture was part of the dividends of democracy he promised his constituents.

Abubakar, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Federal Road Safety (FRSC), said: ``We invited an NGO to provide free medical treatment to about five to seven thousand patients.

``We also brought together lots of our people who are medical doctors to provide the services and it is our intention to repeat it every six months.”

``Now there are more graduates with lesser job opportunities and the government too is becoming more and more poorer that it can’t afford to pay them.

``That is why we look inward to create job opportunities to our people to reduce over dependence on government,” he said.

He said that his constituency office had established computer e-learning centre in Deba to assist the youths become educated on Information Communication Technology.

He said the office in collaboration with the Federal Collage of Horticulture, training had been provided for youths on fish and poultry farming, among other programmes.
