 A motherless child faced abuse at the hands of her aunt

According to Facebook user Jocelyn Tolofari, this little girl was flogged severely because she had told her aunt’s husband of her whereabouts.

The little girl was later made to wear a thick sweater in a bid to cover the scars from the caning. Her aunty (her mother’s sister) who sells vegetable known as ‘okazi’ in the market in the Creek road area of ‘Town’, Port Harcourt, made her go hungry as well, in an attempt to further her punishment.

Here’s what Jocelyn wrote:

“See how a lady beat up her late sister’s child in my area just because the lady went out, and when her husband returned and asked the girl where his wife is, the girl said she went out since morning and when the lady came back, the husband confronted her so the following day after the man left for work she beat the little girl mercilessly and left outside to sleep I couldn’t bear this I wish I could.”

Jocelyn went on to say that the little girl doesn’t also attend any school.

The woman has since been apprehended by welfare officials in the area.
